Terms of Service

Last updated: September 2026

Reelog is made by Dimitri Giani, an independent developer in Italy. By downloading, installing or using the app you accept these terms. They are short on purpose.

1. Accepting these terms

Using Reelog ("the app") means you agree to what follows. If you don't, don't use the app - and if you've already paid for Watch Schedule, Apple's refund process is open to you.

2. What the app does

Reelog lets you follow actors, directors and other people who make films and television, and tells you what they're in and what's coming next. Around that it lets you:

  • Track TV series and films, and mark episodes, seasons and films as watched
  • Rate what you've seen from one to five stars
  • Keep a watchlist and search series, films and people
  • See what's on the streaming services you subscribe to
  • Plan when to watch each series, and be reminded - Watch Schedule
  • Share your lists with friends - My Crew

The last two are the paid part: one purchase unlocks both.

3. No account, your Apple ID

Reelog creates no account of its own. Syncing between your devices and the sharing feature both run on your Apple ID and iCloud, so keeping your Apple account secure is on you. If you sign a device into someone else's Apple ID, their library is what you'll see.

4. Watch Schedule and payment

  • The app is free. Watch Schedule and My Crew unlock together with a single in-app purchase of $4.99 USD (the price in your local currency is shown by the App Store)
  • It is not a subscription: there is nothing to cancel and nothing recurring
  • The purchase is processed by Apple. Refunds follow Apple's policy and any rights you have by law
  • The purchase is tied to your Apple ID and can be restored on your other devices, from the app's purchase screen
  • Free features may change over time, and what's free today may be presented differently in future versions. Anything you have already bought stays yours

5. My Crew and what you share

When you use My Crew you choose a display name and decide which of your lists to share. You are responsible for what you put there. Don't use a display name that impersonates someone, and don't put personal details in it: as explained in the Privacy Policy, shared records live in a database common to all Reelog users.

What friends share with you is theirs, not ours: we don't review it and we can't vouch for it. You can stop sharing at any time, and we may remove shared records that are abusive or unlawful.

6. Fair use

Please don't:

  • Use the app for anything unlawful
  • Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble it, beyond what the law allows you
  • Work around the purchase or the app's security
  • Hammer the app's services, or the databases behind them, with automated traffic
  • Redistribute the app outside the App Store

7. Intellectual property

The app, its name, its icon and its design belong to their author. Titles, artwork, synopses, cast and crew information belong to their respective owners and reach the app through TMDB.

8. Information from TMDB

Series, film and people information comes from The Movie Database (TMDB). This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Release dates change, credits are added late and streaming availability varies by country: Reelog shows what TMDB knows, and can't guarantee it is complete, accurate or current.

9. Notifications are not a guarantee

Notifications and schedules are built on your device and depend on iOS letting the app refresh in the background, on your network, and on dates being right in the source data. They are a convenience, not a promise: don't rely on Reelog alone for something you can't afford to miss.

10. Your data

What you track stays on your device and in your private iCloud. We don't run a server holding your library, and the only things that leave your device are described in the Privacy Policy. Keeping a backup of your device is a good idea; we can't restore a library for you.

11. No warranty

The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. It is not guaranteed to be uninterrupted or free of errors. Nothing here limits the rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country.

12. Limitation of liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or incidental damage arising from use of the app, including lost data or a notification that never arrived. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to what you paid for the app.

13. Changes

The app will change: features may be added, altered or removed. These terms may change too, and the date at the top says when. Carrying on using the app after a change means you accept it.

14. Governing law

Italian law applies. If you are a consumer, you keep the protections of the law of the country you live in, and you can bring a case before the courts there.

15. Apple-specific terms

These terms are between you and the developer of Reelog, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content and has no obligation to provide support for it. If the app fails to conform to any warranty, you may tell Apple, who may refund the purchase price; beyond that, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for claims relating to the app, including product liability, legal compliance or intellectual property. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them.
